Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault, born Salma Valgarma Jamesenez on September 2, 1966 is an American and Mexican actor and producer. She started her career in Mexico by playing the lead in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991) as in the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) and for which she received an Ariel Award nomination. She soon established herself in Hollywood with appearances in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), and Dogma (1999). Hayek's portrayal of Frida Kahlo as a painter in Frida (2002) which was a biographical feature she created which earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress nomination [66. In addition, she received her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award as well as British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek starred in the action-oriented Once Upon a Time in Mexico films in the subsequent years , and shifted her focus to making films.
