Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born South London, England into a mixed family. She has a father who is Nigerian as well as Swiss as well as her mother is English. Her family was raised on a council estate located south of London. In the ages of fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. She studied acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. She was on stage in many productions while attending school like the role of King Henry V, as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting career began with Storm Damage. In the years since, she's had guest appearances in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. Following that she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi role on ITV2 Drama The Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was in both series 2 and 3. Madekwe appeared in the comedic How to Lose Friends and to annoy people (2008). Her credits in theatre are Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams and Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes on The CW, and was later ended. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series of Revenge on ABC in two episodes. The show was announced in May 2013 that she would leave the series after making an appearance in the first series of the 3rd. In the TV series Salem in 2014, she portrayed Tituba from 2014 until 2016. Then, in June of 2012 Madekwe got married to her long-time partner, actor Iddo Goldberg. In addition to Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked together on Salem and he had a part alongside her in the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress was born into a huge family in Hamilton, Ontario. Four of her older brothers were also in the family and included twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers were athletic and played baseball in summer as well as hockey in winter. Ashley did not walk, but she did dance, so at age 2 1/2 years old she took up Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. That was the start of Ashley's passion for dance. Ashley was a professional dancer across all major divisions up until her graduation from high school. She competed in ballet, tap, jazz as well as pointe and the acrobatics. She also won top soloists awards in all major dance contests, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more.
